Its been awhile since the last update so I will cover as much as I can remember. Having a closer look at the fibreglass guards we decided that they were just to far out to be able to use without major modification. It was then decided that custom steel guards would be the better option in the long run. The Side skirts were then fitted and made to line up better than they did. HSD HR coilovers were purchased from Dodson Motorsports to lower the car to a more eye friendly level.

I then decided to give the underneath of the car a bit of a tidy up and dropped out the rear subframe to strip it and get rid of some of the surface rust that had started to show after years of sitting out in the weather. The diff was also given a coat of 'new in a can' aka back spray paint. Once the subframe was rust killed it was time for some new mounts for the r33 handbrake cables and the a few coats of black. Then it was time for some adjustable toe and camber arms in the rear to give that much needed adjustment.

With the subframe all reassembled and back in it was time to get back onto the engine side of things and make it so I can actually drive it for the first time in over 3 years. The engine was dropped in and all the wiring lined up to work out where things were supposed to go and to check the intercooler piping. Due to the high mount turbo and the R32 GTR intercooler it had a bit of modification to get right, but with some cutting and testing and some welding from Dylan and Keg it all lines up quite nicely. With this all done the engine was then once again removed and anything that couldn't be removed was masked up and the bay was then primed and painted in Ford Sonic Blue. The engine was then dropped in (quite litterally) and everything was then slowy connected up.

A power FC and hand controller were then purchased to get the car running, I however purchased the wrong controller for the engine I have so after firing it up and only having it running on 3 cylinders some reasearch was done and Dylan cane round to re-pin the plug into the ecu, after 1 false start the car was then semi-happily running on all 4 cylinders. The car currently sits at All Out Motorsports getting the exhaust finished, was a roudy drive to Silverdale, they heard me 5 minutes before I drove in. So here is how she looks at this point in time. Sitting on R32 GTS-T rims and the fibreglass guards until I get the wheels I am after and then the custom steel guards to suit. The standard tail lights were then replaced with some type x tail lights with the carbon honeycomb garnish. Making it look like a 1997 180sx is supposed to.

Huge thanks to Dylan and Keg for their welding skills, Dodson Motosports for the HSD coilovers and All Out Motorsports for the exhaust work.
