Hampton Downs 2010

Once again Devolution Photography had the pleasure of being invited to another Driftopia event, this one at the new(ish) Hampton Downs circuit just south of Meremere. The weather forecast for this event could not have been any worse, with a 'weather bomb' the size of Australia due to hit and stick around for the weekend.

Expecting the worst I packed all the obligatory wet weather gear that had become a feature of the last D1NZ season. But Awoke on the Saturday to a nice sunny (if not a little windy) morning.

Arriving in the pits I noticed a lot of familiar faces, some with new cars in the testing stages and others out there to beat on their trusty steads some more.

Blair Martin brought out his new competition car for 2010-11, a black S14.5

Matt "Toffee" Sellers was there in his S14 for his second proper track day

Cheers to Kylee and the rest of the Driftopia team for giving drifters the chance to get their practice in a safe and fun filled enviroment. I hope that this wasn't the last driftopia ever as that would be a huge loss to the sport. Enjoy your break and look forward to shooting your days more in the future.
